DR. JURIE VAN VUUREN.

Dr. van Vuuren

is a Professor at the University of Pretoria and Co-ordinator of the Danie Cronje, SAB Chair of Entrepreneurship in the Department of Business Management.
He initiated and developed the first Bachelors Degree with specialisation in Entrepreneurship in South Africa and was instrumental in developing the Masters and PhD degrees offered by the Department.
At the age of twenty-five, Dr van Vuuren started the first of four entrepreneurial start-ups as a beginning of an entrepreneurial career.
In 1992 he started an Entrepreneurship Education and Training Company that since then has trained over 2000 delegates all over South Africa and the African continent.
He authored articles in various South African journals and in more than 20 international conference proceedings from all over the globe. He has lectured at various universities in South Africa, the USA, New Zealand and in African countries.
His corporate entrepreneurship clients include companies like First National Bank, African Life Insurance, Denel, Iscor, Kynoch, Transnet, Transnamib, Netcare, Development Bank of South Africa, Sanlam and number of other smaller companies.

 

 

 

Prof. MESHACH AZIAKPONO
Development Finance and the Head of Development Finance Programme at the University of Stellenbosch Business School (USB).

 

Meshach Aziakpono (PhD) is a Professor of Development Finance and the Head of Development Finance Programme at the University of Stellenbosch Business School (USB). Before joining the USB he was Associate Professor of Economics and the Coordinator of Master's Programme in Financial Markets in the Department of Economics and Economic History at Rhodes University, South Africa.
Meshach Aziakpono has worked as a consultant among others for the OECD Centre and African Economic Research Consortium (AERC). He was recently a visiting scholar to the International Monetary Fund.
He obtained his PhD degree in Economics from the University of the Free State, Bloemfontein in South Africa. His PhD Thesis titled: "The Depth of Financial Integration and its Effects on Financial Development and Economic Performance of the Southern African Customs Union Countries" won the Founders' Medal for the best PhD dissertation in Economics in South Africa. He has vast experience in teaching and supervising at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He is a member of several international and local professional Associations, including the Academy of Economics and Finance (USA).
